HI, I’M ANGIE

THE Heart, Hands AND
Taste Buds
BEHIND Let’s Eat

Hi! I’m Angie.

Most days you can find me in the kitchen, buried in recipe books, or shopping for the freshest ingredients.  Two years ago, my best friend was dealing with health issues and underwent food sensitivity testing. She was told to immediately eliminate gluten and dairy from her diet.  In a friendly conversation, she gave me her latest health update, followed by β€œI wish we were still college roommates (OH-IO Go Buckeyes!) and you could cook for me again… I need to start eating like you…”

I sent her a draft of what I was planning on cooking the following week and offered to make double if she was interested.  That weekend, we met for our first meal delivery/pickup and Let’s Eat was born!

Ten years ago, when I went in for a routine physical, (in hopes to start TTC) I received one concerning blood test result after another.  I was eventually diagnosed with Lupus SLE.  After a lot of reading and research, I decided an anti-inflammatory diet was the gift I could give my body to keep my Lupus inactive as much as possible.

To me, sharing food with others is an act of love.  Picking fresh, organic, nutrient rich ingredients and feeding families that may not have the time to plan/shop/prep/cook/clean has been my inspiration and motivation these past two years. It is my hope and dream that Let’s Eat will continue to grow and serve our community one nourishing meal at a time.

Nourish YOUR Life

Food nourishes the mind, body and soul.

I have a passion for feeding people nutrient rich meals and seeing the excitement/surprise when they realize how tasty and comforting a meal made of clean whole foods can be.

I love dissecting our favorite restaurant meals and guilty pleasure take out dishes, and reworking them into a healthy, gluten-free and unrefined sugar alternative.

When I’m not busy in the kitchen, I am chasing our three energetic children with my husband Bill.  We love to be outdoors, be out on the water, or in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.  In my free time, you can find me on a run, enjoying a yoga class, or curled up with a good book and a glass of wine.
